Independent Peugeot Specialists Team Profile
Independent Peugeot Specialists (IPS) was founded By Paul and Lawrence in July 2009 and the company has been growing ever since.
Lawrence came to the West Midlands in 1970 and worked for three main Peugeot dealerships in Coventry. He has an extensive knowledge of the Peugeot Citroen product range and has built up a huge customer database in Coventry while working within the service departments for Cheylesmore Garage, Mann Edgerton and Darwin Motors.
After the demise of Darwin Motors he assisted Paul in creating IPS with the goal of being able to give a great service to all Peugeot Citroen owners in Coventry and the West Midlands. Paul started day release to Henley’s Peugeot on the A45 at the age of 15 in 1993. In 1994 he left school and took up a four year Peugeot apprenticeship at Henley’s Peugeot which he completed, passing all NVQs with distinctions. After four years he was employed as a full time mechanic, receiving the full schedule of Peugeot training at Humber Road technical centre. Paul worked there until 2004 at which time he left to work for a year for a Peugeot dealership in New Zealand to help train their technicians using his vast experience and knowledge.
On his return in 2005 he took up employment at Darwin Peugeot as a senior technician, again receiving full manufacturer endorsed training. Paul remained with Darwin Peugeot until its demise in July 2009, after which he set up business trading as IPS with the help of Lawrence Doherty.
The team are dedicated to specialising in Peugeot and Citroën repairs offering dealership quality repairs and service at a fraction of the cost.
